People’s Democratic Republic of Korea: The chief of Staff was dismissed for the involvement in drug trafficking and anti-party activities

27.11.2012

The government of the PDRK explained the reason why Ri Ho En, the chief of Staff, was dismissed. It turned out that he was blamed in the “anti-party activities” and protected his wife, engaged in the drug trafficking.

It’s worth reminding that the first reason for the chief to be retired was the bad health condition, however the truth finally popped up.

The suspension of announcing the official reason for dismissal of the chief was explained by the need to liquidate the consequences of this decision. Besides that, the government of the country somehow tried to avoid the possible discontent from the citizens.
