Former Royal Heir of Nepal stored marijuana in his Thai apartment

03.12.2012

Thai local police detained the citizen of Nepal who stored drugs at home. Later police found out that an ordinary citizen is no other  than an heir of Royal Nepali Family who lost his high status after the fall of monarchy in 2008.

Ex-Prince Paras Shah resided in one of the housing estates of Phuket, Thailand with his Thai live-in. Another quarrel forced neighbors to call police that detected a sachet of marijuana and filed couple with charges for illicit storage of drugs. Drug tests taken place later showed drugs in blood of both of detainees.

The detained live-in of former royal heir plead herself guilty to the charges immediately and agreed to receive punishment, however ex-Prince denied to plead no defense categorically and released on bail worth 10 thousand bats (more than 300 USD).

When detaining the heir, policemen didn’t even suspect who it was – said officer in chief Chirasak Siemsak. The arrestee provided police with ordinary passport of Nepal and further not declared of his status.

It is noteworthy to mention that Paras Shah became an heir in 2001 after the bloodbath committed by his cousin who, being in narcotic intoxication, killed nine members of royal family.
