It is widely known that religion is one of the greatest powers to help a person to break off with drugs. Confession itself is not important here, as not important when a person first turned to religion. The essence of religion is that an addict, without knowing which way to turn, can find answers to the questions that bothered him and which he used to avoid before, being immersed in the drug datura.
The role of a wise mentor is especially important in this case. When a suffering comes to the church, mosque, or the place where other religions are being confessed, the priest must see and hear the person's appeal, by putting him on the right path. Only then the addict can fill the emptiness, left in the soul after the drug abuse, with the divine purity and light.
Universal truths, which followers of traditional religions are trying to bring, are as a rule, so versatile that can be accepted by any person, whose soul is open for self-improvement.
