The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators began in 1976 with a small group of dedicated writers.
The Rocky Mountain chapter has grown from just a handful of members to over 500 today, encompassing both Colorado and Wyoming. All members are National Book Award Finalists, Newbery Award and Newbery Honor winners, Colorado Book Award winners, and more.
The Rocky Mountain Chapter has authors and illustrators who are well-published and those who are new to the field.
